In Taoism, the "Five Element Theory" refers to the belief that everything in the universe is composed of five fundamental elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water; these elements are seen as interconnected and constantly changing, influencing each other in a cyclical pattern, often linked to seasons, directions, and internal organs within the body, providing a framework for understanding balance and harmony in nature and within oneself.
With 29 years of experience in martial arts, Ethan Williams has studied various styles, including Tai Chi, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun, and Hung Gar. As a Reiki Level II Practitioner, an herbalist he integrates holistic practices into his teachings.
For nine years, Ethan oversaw and later became the owner of Discount Health Foods in North Miami Beach, Florida, a beloved local establishment that has served the community for over 40 years. There, he not only offered a wide range of herbs, supplements, and vegetarian groceries but also hosted classes and one-on-one consultations to promote health and wellness.
His teaching experience spans a diverse age range, from children as young as 4 to seniors over 80. Through martial arts, he has mentored at-risk youth (ages 9-16) to foster inner awareness, mental clarity, and discipline, while also working with older clients to enhance balance, coordination, and body awareness. His spiritual journey is enriched by influences from Zen, Taoism, Non-Dual philosophy, Christian Mysticism, and Stoic Philosophy. His diverse modalities and spiritual influences inspire him to seek a personal connection to the Divine. In turn, he aims to help others discover their own unique paths to self-discovery and connection with the Divine. Ethan’s goal is to foster awareness of self and others, enhancing compassion and loving kindness in the world. He envisions offering these modalities in settings such as hospitals, hospice care, senior centers, prisons, and public schools.
