Hi, I’m Rachel—a Certified Nutrition Specialist® and Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with a deep passion for sustainable, holistic health practices. My journey into nutrition began through my own experience of food’s ability to heal—restoring my body, mind, and my relationship with food itself. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont, which led me to spend several years working on organic farms. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of how the food we grow impacts our health. I later earned a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, where I deepened my knowledge of the intricate connections between nutrition, biochemistry, and overall well-being. My approach is rooted in the belief that food should be a source of vitality, not restriction.
I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals navigating a wide range of health concerns, from metabolic health and digestive issues to hormonal imbalances and mental health challenges. My approach blends evidence-based science with functional medicine principles, allowing me to create personalized nutrition plans that support lasting health. My approach is also shaped by years of working and volunteering on farms across Asia and New Zealand and studying Ayurveda in the Himalayas—all of which have influenced my view of food as a powerful tool for healing. My mission is to help you feel confident in reclaiming your health by guiding you toward sustainable, nourishing choices for long-term well-being.
Outside of my professional work, I love gardening, fermenting, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I also enjoy travel, yoga, Pilates, playing the ukulele, and hiking with my dog. To me, health isn’t just about what’s on your plate—it’s about cultivating a life of balance, connection, and purpose. By blending my professional expertise with my personal passions, I aim to inspire others to build a fulfilling, nourishing relationship with food and overall well-being.
